My Story

I believe in the power of accessible, user-friendly technology to do good. I have over six years of experience as a Person Centered Advocate for people with developmental disabilities.

I’m drawn to user experience design because I’ve witnessed how accessible, user-friendly apps and devices have made a positive, life changing impact.

I have lived and worked in rural Panama and Buenos Aires, Argentina. I love to learn about other cultures, particularly how culture and history is reflected in language (ask me about what “ahora” or “parquear” means in Panama).

By living and working side by side with people of different backgrounds and abilities...

...I am able to see things more easily from different points of view. I can adjust to challenges that arise, I’m comfortable with ambiguity, have an open mind and value humility and gratitude.

In my free time I enjoy being outside–finding new bike trails, hiking regional and state parks, traveling and growing food and pollinator friendly plants in my local community garden. I also enjoy trying new food and getting together with people to play boardgames.
